
Officers issued 56 citations to motorists during a traffic enforcement operation in Escondido, authorities said Saturday.
The citations were issued for violations including speeding, violating signs and signals, unsafe turning movements, use of cell phones, and driving without a license, according to the Escondido Police Department.
The operation took place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.on Friday.
“Reducing crashes and ensuring a safe travel experience for everyone is a high priority for the Escondido Police Department,” said Interim Chief of Police Ryan Banks. “We urge all motorists to drive with care on every trip.”
