Four vehicles damaged in a collision caused multiple injuries and held up traffic on the westbound I-8 freeway near San Diego State University amid rains on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred around 8:35 a.m. Sunday on the westbound I-8 in the College Area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials said that two vehicles went into a ditch, and two vehicles went off the roadway.
Some people were injured but their injuries were unclear, CHP said.
Wet road conditions could have been a factor in the accident.
