A crash left one person dead Tuesday on state Route 905 in Otay Mesa, authorities said.
The accident occurred on the westbound side of the freeway at Britannia Boulevard shortly before 2:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck forced the closure of the westbound side of the freeway while cleanup and investigation were completed.
