The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department  reported Monday a missing 6-year-old boy who went missing in Julian was located and was safe.

A sheriff’s helicopter made announcements to residents in the area at about 8:09 a.m. Monday to be on the lookout for the boy, Adrian Cotarodriguez, who was last seen westbound on Meadowridge Road.

At about 8:30 a.m. Monday, the sheriff’s department said on social media that the boy had been located and was safe.

There were no other details about where and how he was located.
