The California Highway Patrol will conduct a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint beginning Thursday night in an unincorporated area of San Diego County.

The checkpoint will be from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Bonita Road at Randy Lane.

The area where the checkpoint will take place has had over 40 DUI arrests, and three DUI-related collisions, from Jan. 1, 2022 through May 31 of this year.

Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment while also checking drivers for proper licensing, delaying motorists only momentarily.
