Authorities Friday publicly identified a man fatally shot by an unidentified assailant this week in an Oak Park-area neighborhood.
Patrol officers responding to a report of gunfire found Bao Duong, 44, mortally wounded in the front yard of a home in the 3100 block of Collura Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego police.
Duong died at the scene.
“It is still very early in the investigation and little is known about the circumstances leading to the man’s death,” said Lt. Matt Dobbs.
Police have no description of the shooter or shooters, the lieutenant said.
