A woman was killed when the station wagon she was a passenger in veered off state Route 67 in Santee and crashed into a parked car, authorities reported Saturday.
The fatal crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. Friday on Woodside Avenue at Creekside Court, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Video from the scene showed extensive damage to an older-model station wagon.
The male driver of the station wagon was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
