Two men robbed a Verizon store in National City at gunpoint early Friday and remained at large Friday afternoon.

It happened about 11 a.m. at the Verizon store on East Plaza Boulevard near Harbison Avenue.

Two suspects in ski masks walked into the store brandishing guns and ordered customers and employees to the back, authorities said.

“They got mad whenever you tried to get a look at them, but I saw they had a gun,” a customer, Sam Abalos, told Fox 5 San Diego.

“I heard a bag filling up with something. They asked, ‘Are these the S10s?’ — they wanted iPhones,” Abalos told the news station, perhaps meaning XS.

Employees called police after the robbers left, and police hadn’t been able to track them down Friday afternoon, according to Fox 5.
