A 65-year-old woman was found slain inside a Midway-area sex shop on Monday, afternoon.
The victim’s body was discovered at X Spot Adult Store, 3606 Midway Drive, about 12:45 p.m., according to San Diego Police Lt. Anthony Dupree.
She had suffered upper-body trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, Dupree said. The exact nature and origin of those injuries was not immediately clear.
“The preliminary investigation has shown that the victim was assaulted while inside the business,” Dupree said.
Surveillance video captured images of a white man in his 30s who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He was wearing a navy blue shirt and pants and carrying a navy blue backpack, Dupree said.
The victim has been identified but her name was withheld pending family notification.
