A man who may have gone into a jealous fit over watching his girlfriend dance with another male at the Onyx Room in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter was being sought by police.
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, the pair was dancing when the boyfriend “got upset” and smashed a beer bottle into the victim’s face, according to Sgt. J. Wells of the San Diego Police Department.
The boyfriend, described as 20-30 years old and nearly 6 feet tall, fled the scene, Wells continued.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
