Detectives were searching Monday for the driver of a van and his companion who are suspected of firing at another pair of men in San Diego’s Valencia Park neighborhood.

Nobody was injured in the shooting, which detectives are investigating as an assault with a deadly weapon, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said.

The victims, two men, were standing outside a home in the 100 block of San Jacinto Drive when two men pulled up in a Ford van just before 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Buttle said. The driver got out, fired one round at the victims and then got back in the van and drove away.

The van was last seen headed eastbound on Imperial Avenue and detectives were dispatched to investigate the shooting, Buttle said.
