A brush fire scorched about a quarter acre in the Oak Park section of San Diego Friday before firefighters brought it under control.

San Diego Fire-Rescue crews quickly responded to the fire that broke out just before noon near 54th Street and Westover Place.

The location is off a busy commercial street north of Route 94.

There are no reports of structural damage or injuries, a spokeswoman for the agency said. The cause is under investigation.
