A burglar who forced his way into a closed Office Depot in La Mesa and stole several laptop computers is being sought by police.

The burglary took place Jan. 5, and on Tuesday the La Mesa Police Department released surveillance video from the crime scene.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 20 to 40 years old, with a thin build. During the time of the burglary, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Police also released surveillance video Tuesday showing the suspect wearing a Chargers jersey.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is urged to contact the La Mesa Police Department at (619) 667-1400, or Crime Stoppers’ anonymous toll-free tip line (888) 580-TIPS (www.sdcrimestoppers.com). According to the La Mesa Police Department, tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
