An 18-year-old man was stabbed in Mira Mesa but refused to talk to officers about it, authorities said Friday.

The man knocked on his parents’ door around 9:15 p.m. Thursday in the 10900 block of Deering Street, said San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.

His parents opened the door and saw their son had a 4-inch laceration to his lower left abdomen, Heims said.

“The victim refused to talk to police and tell them what happened or give a suspect description,” Heims said.

He was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life- threatening.
