A woman who became enraged over perceived poor service at a San Ysidro cell phone store Monday threatened employees with a box cutter and a pair of scissors, then grabbed four iPhones and fled, police said.
The robbery at the MetroPCS shop in the 500 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard was reported shortly after 2 p.m., according to San Diego police.
Investigating patrol officers found the 30-year-old alleged thief near the store and arrested her, Sgt. Tom Sullivan said. Her name was not immediately available.
The stolen mobile phones were recovered, the sergeant said.
Workers at the business where the crime occurred told officers the suspect had gone there looking for an item she had bought online and grew angry when they told her that such orders could not be picked up at that site.
