Police are searching for a couple who carjacked a pickup truck in San Ysidro early this morning.
It happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Saturday at 333 E. San Ysidro Blvd., when a man was confronted as he was getting into a pickup truck, San Diego Police Sgt. David Jennings said.
A man and a woman pulled the victim from a red, 1998 Dodge Dakota and took off toward a freeway, Jennings said. The suspects were described as a hispanic man in his 30s, wearing a gray jacket and tan pants, and a hispanic woman in her 30s.
The truck had a California license plate with the number 5Y02197. The San Diego Police Robbery Unit was handling the investigation.
