Two teens were robbed and carjacked early Wednesday in San Ysidro.

The 17- and 18- year-old victims were parking a black Nissan Rogue with California license plate 7LEM077 on Del Sur Boulevard near Clavelita Street when a white Nissan Quest minivan with a man and a woman inside pulled up alongside them around 12:40 a.m., San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said. The male passenger hopped out, issued the teens a gang challenge, flashed the butt of a gun and demanded their wallets and cell phones.

The driver ransacked the victims’ vehicle before getting back into her minivan and driving away, Delimitros said. The second suspect followed suit in the victims’ car shortly afterward.

Police described the male suspect as Hispanic, bald and about 30. The woman was Hispanic, 25 years old, thin and about 5 feet 5. She was wearing a pink shirt and blue jeans.
