A threat was received at the BAE Systems ship repair facility in San Diego Tuesday, but work returned to normal after nothing was found, a company spokesman said.

Karl Johnson of BAE Systems, with a shipyard in Barrio Logan, declined to specify the nature of the threat or when it was received.

“We worked with the Navy to ensure the safety of our workers and Navy personnel,” Johnson said.

The 20-acre shipyard at 2205 E. Belt St. has four piers where workers overhaul warships and commercial vessels.
