Authorities on Thursday released the name of a woman whose partially decomposed body was found near Lake Hodges two months ago.
A passer-by found the remains of San Diego resident Marisol Lopez, 29, near a walking trail off the 19900 block of Lake Drive in the Del Dios area on the morning of Oct. 17, according to sheriff’s officials.
Authorities succeeded in identifying the body this week, but Lopez’s cause of death remains unknown and under investigation, Lt. Kenn Nelson said.
