A transient who admitted setting small vegetation fires around Sweetwater County Park in Bonita was sentenced today to three years probation.
Edwin Fisk, 44, was also ordered into an inpatient treatment program by Judge Garry Haehnle.
Fisk was also sentenced to time served, which amounted to over 250 days in custody.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the fires burned between April 29 and May 24 — along a creek bed off Willow Street and in a nearby brush area behind a liquor store in the 4200 block of Bonita Road. No structural damage was reported.
Fisk, who was arrested in July, pleaded guilty in October to two arson counts.
