San Diego Police were on the lookout Thursday for a man who stabbed an acquaintance a dozen times while helping the victim’s former girlfriend move out of their Shelltown home.
A fight broke out while the suspect and another man were accompanying the 20-year-old victim’s ex-girlfriend as she was moving her belongings out of his residence on Delta Street near 39th Street around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
At some point during the altercation, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim 12 times, Delimitros said. The victim’s wounds were serious, but not life-threatening, he said.
Delimitros said the suspect remains at large. Authorities say they know his name.
