A car-to-car shooting in Bay Terraces left two young women wounded Tuesday.

The victims, ages 19 and 21, were sitting in a parked Cadillac in the 7000 block of Appian Drive, talking to a man and woman standing next to the vehicle, when a black car pulled up and someone inside it fired a half-dozen or more shots about 12:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.

The driver of the Cadillac was able to transport herself and her companion to Paradise Valley Hospital, where they were treated for minor bullet “graze” wounds, Officer Dan Lasher said.

The people who had been outside the victims’ car at the time of the shooting, including a young child in the arms of the woman, were unharmed.

Police released no detailed description of the assailant. The vehicle he was in was described as either a Mustang or Mercedes-Benz, Lasher said.
