A young man suspected of mugging a 74-year-old College-area resident early Wednesday after contacting him via an online personal ad was arrested about 14 hours later.

Lucas Churchill Holmes, 20, got in touch with the victim through a listing on a Craigslist dating page and then unexpectedly showed up at his home in the 4600 block of El Cerrito Drive about 1:15 a.m., according to San Diego police.

The suspect allegedly subdued the older man with an electric stun gun before binding and robbing him.

Detectives tracked Holmes down in El Cajon, where he lives, and arrested him about 3 p.m., SDPD public-affairs Officer Humberto Hernandez said. It was not immediately clear what led police to the suspect.
