On Thursday deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and officers from the Metropolitan Transit System conducted a probation and parole compliance operation which resulted in 32 arrests in Santee, Lakeside, and unicorporated El Cajon.

The goal was to ensure the identified subjects were in compliance with the terms and conditions of their release. Deputies also conducted directed patrols in high crime areas of the community identified utilizing information-led policing.

During this detail a search warrant was served that resulted in the seizure of more than 30 grams methamphetamine, 19 grams heroin and sales indicia and contraband.

About $1,500.00 cash was also seized in addition to a stolen firearm and additional parts to firearms that were related to a case being handled by Santee detectives.

A stolen utility trailer was found in the driveway and was returned to the owner at the scene. Also seized was 200 grams of gold bars that had an approximate market value of $14,000, as well as, property believed to be related to other burglaries in the East County area.

Investigation into the specific property found during this operation will be conducted by detectives from the Santee Patrol Station.
