A 28-year-old man was in custody Thursday on suspicion of trying to sexually assault a teenage girl in Vista, authorities said.
Trevin Young was arrested Wednesday night and booked on suspicion of assault with the intent to commit rape, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
The alleged victim told deputies that around 7:30 p.m., Young forced her from a bus stop near Eucalyptus Avenue and Alestar Street to the vicinity of his nearby apartment. She fought back and ran for help, authorities said.
A short time later, Young was taken into custody in the boiler room of his apartment building.
