Sheriff’s officials and the FBI sought the public’s help Sunday to identify the man who used a demand note to rob a bank branch in the Melrose Village Plaza in Vista.
Around noon Saturday, the suspect passed the note to a teller at the Citibank at 1611 South Melrose Drive and was given an undisclosed amount, according to the FBI.
The suspect walked out of the bank shortly after and no injuries were reported, authorities said.
The robber was described as white, in his early 20s, and about 5 feet 9 with a thin build. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with an unknown design, glasses, a plaid shirt and a watch on his left wrist.
FBI officials asked anyone with information to call (858) 320-8302, or contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
