A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing about $45,000 worth of pot from a medical marijuana dispensary in Lakeside early Friday, authorities said.

The break-in at Aurora Green’s Dispensary at 8575 Los Coches Road was reported about 4 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Seiver.

Deputies found a man — later identified as Wendell Coleman — hiding in some nearby bushes and arrested him on suspicion of burglary, Seiver said in a statement.

Coleman was in possession of about 4 pounds of marijuana and baked marijuana goods worth an estimated $45,000, he said.

Aurora Greens is a recent addition to an online index of dispensaries on weedmaps.com, with the site saying the shop has been a “member since May 5th, 2014.”

One reviewer Friday posted a comment: “Thank you, Jake, for opening your excellent Dispensary in East County! It’s wonderful to have a dispensary with good prices and good people so close to home. Everyone near Los Coches Road will love Aurora Greens! Stop in and say ‘Welcome to the neighborhood, Jake, and check out why Aurora Greens is so welcome.”

But a “We’re closed” sign was posted on the site as well Friday.
