A trash-truck driver was seriously injured Wednesday when he was pinned by a commercial garbage bin outside a North County apartment complex, authorities reported.
The accident in the 400 block of Oak Drive in Vista was reported about 10:15 a.m., according to sheriff’s officials.
Medics airlifted the victim to a trauma center. His name and condition were not immediately available.
The state Division of Occupational Safety and Health was called in to investigate, Lt. Hank Turner said.
