Two persons of interest are under investigation, but have not been arrested, after the discovery of a body in the San Diego River late Tursday afternoon, police said.
The body of a man in his 40s was discovered in the Grantville area by a fisherman around 5:50 p.m., San Diego Police Department Lt. Manuel Del Toro said.
Del Toro said the fisherman initially thought the victim had drowned. During resuscitation efforts, medical personnel and police found a stab wound in the victim’s torso.
