San Diego police Monday searched for a man who fled the scene after crashing into a fellow motorist in Sabre Springs, leaving the other driver with several broken bones.
The hit-and-run in the 11000 block of Poway Road was reported at 9:12 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
A 55-year-old woman driving a Ford Taurus south on Sabre Springs Parkway was struck in the intersection by a man driving a dark colored Chrysler 300 east on Poway Road, he said in a statement.
The woman suffered broken ribs and a broken hip, according to the officer.
Police found the Chrysler abandoned several miles away. The driver was described as having a beard, Delimitros said.
