San Diego can boast of multiple slots among the annual Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country.
California leads the nation with 663 companies on the list, and nearly 90 of them are in the greater San Diego region.
Tops of the local companies named by Inc. is PL360, out of Chula Vista, which manages funding for brokers, lenders and borrowers. The company grew more than 5,500% in three years, from 2020-23.
CourtAvenue, a downtown San Diego digital advertising and marketing firm, followed with growth of 4,802%. Wildfire Systems, a Solana Beach software firm that works with merchants, logged growth of 3,780%, while Coronado’s KSA Technology Partners, which recruits for and consults with telecom firms, registered growth of 1,642%.
“We couldn’t be more excited to make the top 100 in the Inc. 5000 for two years running,” said Jordan Glazier, CEO of Wildfire Systems. “Our substantial growth and momentum are testament to the value we bring to our clients across the financial services and technology sectors.”
To qualify for the Inc. 5000, companies must demonstrate three years of revenue growth while remaining independent and privately owned.
The region has 20 places in the top 1000, with companies representing San Diego, Encinitas, Oceanside, Poway and Solana Beach.
That includes Brotman Law, in downtown San Diego. With a growth rate of 763.33%, the firm became the 12th fastest-growing local company, ranking eighth nationally in the legal sector.
“We’ve been able to achieve phenomenal results for our clients and our team has a sterling reputation in the San Diego community, the tax community and the general business community. Our clients are very passionate and have been great about promoting the work that we do,” owner Sam Brotman said.
The median three-year growth rate of the local companies, with seven of them newly founded, is above 200%. According to Inc., they have added 5,607 jobs to the regional economy.
The companies will be invited to take part in the Inc. 5000 Conference & Gala in Palm Desert in October.
