
The closeout sale for 99 Cents Only stores began Friday, including at all of its San Diego County locations.
Local stores include six in San Diego, two in El Cajon, three in Escondido, and single stores in Chula Vista La Mesa, National City, Oceanside, Ramona, San Ysidro, Santee and Vista.
The going-out-of-business sales will continue through April 19. A wide range of products from everyday household items to fresh produce and groceries and an assortment of seasonal and party merchandise will be available.
Store fixtures, furniture and equipment also will be available for sale.
Gift cards and merchandise credits will be honored through close of business on April 19, local time. All sales are final.
Exchanges for items purchased prior to April 5 will be accepted based on the company’s existing policies. also through close of business on April 19.
Hilco Global is managing the liquidation, while Jefferies LLC will join Hilco in handing the sale of the company’s real estate assets, both owned and leased, in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas.
Founded in 1982, 99 Cents Only Stores LLC has nearly 371 stores that will be closing.
