The San Diego-based wireless pioneer made the allegation in a legal filing which alleges Apple stole the technology secrets “for the purpose of improving lower-quality modem chipsets, including those manufactured by Intel.”
Apple uses Intel chips in many of its products, including the iPhone.
The legal filing is Qualcomm’s latest move in a long-running legal dispute taking place between the two companies in San Diego County Superior Court.
Apple has refused to pay Qualcomm royalties for use of its technology in the iPhone.
Apple and Intel did not immediately offer comment on the allegations.
