The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Friday to its lowest amount since Oct. 9, 2010, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.073.

The average price has dropped 57 consecutive days, decreasing 63 cents over that span, including a-half cent on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The 57-day streak of dropping prices is the longest since one lasting 91 days streak from Sept. 16-Dec. 15, 2008.

The average price is 4.1 cents less than one week ago, 32.4 cents lower than one month ago and 53.7 cents below what it was one year ago.
