The UCLA Anderson Forecast is scheduled for the faculty club at the University of California, San Diego, and is being held in partnership with the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corp. and CONNECT.

Anderson will present the latest U.S. and California forecasts along with a focused view of the San Diego regional economy. The economists will also discuss what is happening in San Diego real estate  market and the direction in which it’s heading.

The forecasters said earlier this month that the harsh winter weather that ravaged much of the country caused slower than expected national growth in the first quarter. However, the economy should rebound in the spring with many sectors making up for lost time, Anderson said, and GDP growth in the 3 percent-range is forecast through 2016.

For more than 60 years, the UCLA Anderson Forecast has provided forecasts for the economies of California and the United States.
