Only a a federal employee ID is needed, and in some cases immediate families and employees of federal contractors are included.
“This is our small way of ensuring we contribute positively to family -ocused activities for those federal employees whose compensation has been delayed,” said Jim Kidrick, president and CEO of the Air & Space Museum. “We appreciate their efforts on our behalf and look forward to welcoming them this Saturday and Sunday.”
Federal employees in shuttered departments did not get checks Friday, and in comes cases are required to work without pay. The shutdown over President Trump’s demand for border wall funding is on track to be the longest in U.S. history.
