This weekend is the first weekend of spring. Here’s how to make the most of it.
SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival
Foodies and craft beer aficionados, this festival is for you. SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival features craft beer from local breweries with international cuisine from around the world.
You can sip and sample your way around the world of international street food traditions, craft beers and wines, and enjoy live musical performances along the way.

Yoga in the City
If you have been wanting to try yoga out, here’s your chance to do it for free. Yoga in the City is a free, family-friendly yoga class sponsored by Scripps Health and taught by Yoga One.
The class is part of the Downtown San Diego Partnership’s “Healthy Living in the City.” All levels are welcome.
The class starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at Horton Plaza Park. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. The event is free, just remember to bring your own yoga mat.
Cirque du Soleil Crystal
Take high-flying acrobatics and combined it with ice skating and you have Cirque du Soleil’s newest show, Crystal. This is the Canadian company’s first show on ice.
World-class skaters and acrobats will challenge the laws of gravity a flurry of unexpected acrobatics. Cirque du Soleil Crystal is about looking at things from fresh angles. Sometimes the only way to appreciate things is to look at them sideways.
Crystal, the show’s main character, sets out on an exhilarating quest to fulfill her destiny as she dives into a world of her own imagination.
Show times are 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday at Valley View Casino Center. Tickets range from $40 to $145.
Bring It On — The Musical
The iconic cheerleading movie starring Kristin Dunst and Gabriella Union is now a musical, but the storyline is a bit different than the movie.
Campbell is cheer-royalty at Truman High School and her senior year should prove the most cheertastic – she’s been named captain of the squad. But, an unexpected redistricting has forced her to spend her final year of high school at the neighboring hard-knock Jackson High School.
Despite having the deck stacked against her, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and, along with their headstrong and hardworking leader, Danielle, manages to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition — the National Championships.
“Bring It On — The Musical” performs 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. Sunday. Matinees are 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Horton Grand Theatre. Tickets range from $15 to $30.
Race for Autism
You don’t have to be a superhero to help change the lives of thousands of San Diegans, just join Race For Autism this weekend.
The race features a 5K chip-timed run/walk or a 1-mile Superhero Family Fun Walk through Balboa Park. There is also educational resource fair, music and children’s activities.
All donations from the race go to support San Diego autism programs.
Race For Autism goes from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registration fees range from $20 to $40.
