Celebrate and learn about the Greek culture at the annual Cardiff Greek Festival this weekend.
Hosted by the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, guests can expect to be transported into a quaint Greek village, serenaded by a variety of live entertainers on three stages throughout the weekend, including renowned Southern California Greek band The Olympians.
Delicacies, such as Greek-style roasted lamb and chicken,moussaka, and gyros will also be available.
The event will be topped off with an open marketplace featuring Greek imports, pottery, fine jewelry,
artwork, a Greek deli, cooking demonstrations, and an array of other treasures.
The Cardiff Greek Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Saints Constantine and Helen at 3459 Manchester Ave.

Poway Days
Enjoy the city in the country with an old-fashioned parade and festival in Poway. The 53rd annual Poway Days Parade will take place this Saturday along Poway Road. The parade will feature an array of floats and acts, some of course, with horses. The Community Day Festival will happen immediately after the parade and featureshundreds of vendors, food, games, rides and a Battle of the Bands. The festival will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Poway Community Park.
Pizza & Beer Festival
Head to the Broadway Pier in downtown San Diego for a Pizza and Beer Festival. Guests will get to sample pizza from Southern California’s top restaurants and food trucks. Plus, you’ll get to try craft beers from breweries in the region too. The event is complete with games, art and live music. It takes place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $45.
Street Food Cinema
Enjoy the romantic favorite “Dirty Dancing” with a Street Food Cinema event. The event includes a movie screening at the park, food trucks and live music by DJ Decon. The event takes place at Nobel Athletic Fields.
Local Brews & Grooves
The House of Blues will host an event for beer and music lovers featuring bands from San Diego. Guests will also get to try beers from 12 breweries around the region. The 21+ event takes place at 6 p.m. Saturday.
