A medley of dances from around the world comes to Poway on Sunday with the Festival of World Dances.

The event, sponsored by the San Diego Indian American Society, promises colorful costumes, rich music, amazing beats and intricate choreography.

Over 200 performers are scheduled to perform dances from India, Israel, Egypt and Japan.

Since 2017 marks 25 years of Indo-Israeli friendship, there will be an appearance by Israeli soprano Shanee Zamir. The consul generals of India and Israel are expected to attend.

The program begins at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $10 to $20. Tickets are available at www.powaycenter.com.
