The fifth annual Paw Walk in the Garden will take place this Saturday with proceeds benefiting the Rancho Coastal Humane Society and the San Diego Botanic Garden.

The 5K brings together plant and animal lovers at the stunning Encinitas garden.

“At the 5K Paw Walk in the Garden dog walkers can do something they’re already planning to do, but this is the only day of the year when they can walk their pets in the San Diego Botanic Garden,” said Nick Winfrey, RCHS vice president of planning and development.

The non-competitive race is open to the public and four-animal friends.

There will also be a peanut butter and cream cheese challenge, pet products and information booths.

Registration is is $21 for walkers under 18 and $32 for adults. The event begins at 9 a.m.

Junk Bonanza

Love your vintage decor and accessories? Head to the Del Mar Fairgrounds this weekend for the Junk Bonanza. The event features hundreds of vintage items, workshops and more. Want to shop before the crowd hits? You can purchase an early bird admission ticket for $25. Otherwise, tickets are $10 per day. The event takes place at from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Winter Brew Fest

Enjoy San Diego’s finest craft beers with the annual Winter Brew Fest this weekend. The event, which takes place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., features more than 30 breweries and live music with Sister Speak. A VIP session is also available at 6 p.m. for those who want a first taste of the beers. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $50 for VIP.

Harlem Globetrotters

The popular Harlem Globetrotters will come to San Diego on Friday. The family-friendly show features impressive basketball skills and entertainers such as Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson and TNT Lister. Ticket prices range from $23.50 to $147.50.

Wildlife Art Festival

The Pacific Southwest Wildlife Arts will host its 44th annual California Open Wildlife Art Festival this Saturday and Sunday at Liberty Station. The event, which is open to the public, will feature a variety of work from artists such as Gloria Chadwick, Peggy Bradshaw Palm, Scott Streit and Ron Dotson, as well as Bob Berry of El Cajon, a six-time world champion carver. The festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Admission is $5 and free for children under 12.
