Another Comic-Con has come and gone. Here’s a look back at some memorable sights and quotes from the past week.

“I came all the way here to just stand in line. They should call it Line Con.” — An impatient attendee waiting in a long line for the Comic-Con exhibit hall to open on Wednesday night.

In that same line, another Con-goer was all set to capture every moment of the week. He wore a baseball cap with a camera mounted to the side of the cap.

“I’m on Facebook, Twitter, Tinder.filmmaker Charles de Lauzirika, when asked to promote himself.

Give Warner Bros. an award for creativity on their presentation of upcoming movies. Most studios show their films on giant screens hanging from the ceilings of Hall H. For its presentation Saturday, WB unfurled giant screens across both sides of the cavernous Hall H, creating an almost 360-degree view to promote their past hit movies. That was just a prelude to an exciting panel that featured the first full trailer to the much-buzzed about “Suicide Squad” and “Batman vs. Superman.”

“We had to report to Hall H because you guys run this shit.” –“Suicide Squad” director David Ayer before delighting the crowd by introducing the cast of the movie.

Fans do get a lot of love at Comic-Con from film studios and others, and one of the fan-friendliest panels year in and year out is the Superhero Kung Fu Extravaganza. The panel is hosted by martial arts film expert Ric Meyers, who shows clips of his favorite fights from kung fu movies and jokes with the audience. At the end of this year’s panel, Meyers invited the audience to come up on stage with him and take a group photo. Many obliged, and no doubt they will return for next year’s panel.

“If I thought too hard about the actors who’ve taken the job before me, I never would’ve done it.”– actor Ben Affleck, talking about taking on the iconic role of Batman.

“It’s fun. It’s hot and sweaty. It’s the only place you have to wash your hands before you go to the bathroom.” — television host Chris Hardwick, moderating a panel at Hall H.

Start counting the days. Comic-Con 2016 is set for July 21-July 24 next year.
