San Diego Restaurant week is back, starting Sunday and running through next Saturday, Jan. 24, with nearly 180 restaurants participating.

The event, which is held twice annually, gives San Diego food lovers an opportunity to try new restaurants and new cuisines.

No tickets or passes are required. Foodies can simply dine out at as many participating restaurants as they like during the week.

The list of restaurants is online, and includes such well-known eateries as Mille Fleurs, 1500 OCEAN at the Hotel del Coronado, Bertrand at Mister A’sGeorge’s California Modern, Pamplemousse Grille and The Marine Room, as well as many more casual bistros throughout San Diego County.

Participating restaurants are offering two-course lunches for $10, $15 or $20 and three-course dinners for $20, $30, $40 or $50. All prices are per person.

The event is sponsored by the San Diego chapter of the California Restaurant Association.

There are no guarantees, but restaurant week is often extended for a second week. We’ll keep you posted.
