A suspected drunken driver suffered serious injuries in a solo crash in Santee early Friday.
The 28-year-old woman behind the wheel apparently lost control of her northbound 2017 Toyota Yaris and it careened through a dead end at the intersection of state Route 125 and Mission Gorge Road around 2:45 a.m. The car vaulted off the roadway and rolled to a stop into a riverbed about 75 feet away, San Diego Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike McNeill said.
The driver suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital to be treated, McNeill said.
