Chula Vista is about to get a new spot for cold beer, comfort food, and classic rock. Yard House will open its doors at Otay Ranch Town Center on Sunday, Sept. 28, marking the chain’s third San Diego-area location.
Known for its sprawling bars and wall of taps, the new restaurant will feature 90 draft beers ranging from American craft and imported brews to local selections chosen by the management team. A glass-enclosed keg room — capable of storing up to 4,000 gallons — keeps the supply flowing to the bar through overhead tubing, with each pour served at 36 degrees.
The menu offers more than 80 dishes, putting a modern spin on American and global favorites. Popular items include Poke Nachos, Nashville Hot Chicken, tacos, and USDA prime burgers. The kitchen also offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-sensitive options, according to a news release.
The Chula Vista restaurant spans 9,160 square feet and will be led by General Manager Jason Carr. Flat-screen TVs and DirecTV sports packages make it a gathering place for game days, while the weekday happy hour — Monday through Friday, 3 to 6 p.m. — features half-price appetizers and drink specials.
Yard House will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight for lunch, dinner, and late-night dining. Founded in Long Beach in 1996, the brand now has more than 90 restaurants nationwide.
