An 18-year-old man was shot in the face in front of an Imperial Beach apartment complex, a San Diego County Sheriff‘s sergeant reported Saturday.
The shooting was reported at 6:10 p.m. Friday in front of 576 Seventh Street, said sheriff’s Sgt. Ted Greenawald.
“Witnesses reported hearing as many as four gunshots,” Greenawald said. “The victim was transported to the UCSD Medical Center for treatment where he appears to be in stable condition.”
The victim was not able to provide a statement to investigators due to his injuries, the sergeant said. No suspects are in custody and they have not determined a motive for the shooting.
