A suspect in a domestic dispute holed up in an East County apartment Friday, prompting a SWAT standoff that ended with his arrest more than four hours later.
Deputies went to the neighborhood in the 9200 block of Amys Street in La Presa about 9 a.m. to question the man. When they were unable to contact the suspect, they called out special weapons and tactics personnel, said sheriff’s Lt. Jim Walker.
The stalemate continued until midafternoon, when the man was taken into custody. His name and details of the charges he was expected to face were not immediately available.
