The six-day event will feature hundreds of speakers representing all aspects of the local startup ecosystem, including idea creation, financing, launching a startup, sales, marketing and growing the company. It’s expected to draw thousands of entrepreneurs, developers, designers, investors and community leaders.
“San Diego has one of the most exciting and vibrant startup communities in the country,” said Winter. “We at Seismic want to make sure that we are doing what we can to lift up and celebrate this community, and continually sharing our story of growth to hopefully inspire others.”
Winter, whose company grew from a startup to 650 employees and a billion-dollar valuation, said his company’s story “can provide several takeaways for others looking to head out on their own and start a business.”
Brookstein will be moderating a panel on women in technology and said she hopes to “start a conversation on ways you can level up in San Diego via women in tech organizations and groups that currently exist locally.”
The majority of startup week activities will take place at the San Diego Convention Center downtown, but events are also scheduled for Tijuana, Carlsbad and Barrio Logan. The complete schedule is available online.
Tickets for access to six days of events range from $50 for students to $119 for full-price attendees.
