San Diegans swarmed the San Diego Convention Center on Friday — the second day of the annual San Diego International Auto Show, gasping at cars like the Youabian Puma.

They checked out new models and sat in the cars of their dreams.

The show runs through Monday and features displays of new models and exotic vehicles, test drives and Camp Jeep, an interactive indoor off-road experience.

Visitors get a glimpse of new cars — 21017 and 2018 — most of which haven’t been seen in a showroom yet.

A car that brought wonder is the Puma, a behemoth blue convertible with monster truck tires. The “Puma” was designed by Dr. Kambiz Youabian, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon.

The 3-year-old plump car, 20 feet long and 7.75 feet wide, is worth $1.1 million, according to autoblog.com.

Also on display in the exotics section is a 1967 Rolls-Royce Phantom V Mulliner State Landaulette and a 1984 Rolls-Royce Corniche that’s one of just three vehicles produced in the “lagoon blue” color.

Major automakers will offer test drives along the convention center’s front and back driveways, and in Camp Jeep — a 40,000-square-foot attraction that will let attendees put Jeep vehicles through off-road paces. Visitors drive Jeeps up steep inclines, over a platform with steps and nearly sideways on a slope.

The auto show is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

General admission is $12. Military with identification and seniors 62 and older pay $9, and children ages 7-12 are admitted for $8.

Youngsters 6 and under get in free with a paid adult on Family Day — Sunday — which will feature appearances by “Captain America” and “Spiderman,” games and other children’s activities.
