The free event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium at 9449 Friars Road.
Current EV owners are invited to tailgate, show off their cars and talk to potential new drivers about the benefits of switching from gasoline power.
The first 100 EV owners to attend also will receive free lunch. In addition, kids can drive mini electric cars on a safety course hosted by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation.
San Diego currently has nearly 22,000 EVs on its roads and will soon be home to 3,500 more charging stations.
