Swells Push Contaminated Flow into Silver Strand Area Leading to Water-Contact Closure

The water-contact closure in place for the Tijuana Slough and Imperial Beach was extended Saturday to include the Silver Strand in Coronado, county health officials said.

At Border Field State Park, horseback riding is allowed but not swimming or surfing for now.
